Vented Gas Logs

The advantages of Vented Gas Logs are that they have a larger, more realistic flame. They put out about 17,000 BTUs and will heat up to 1100 square feet.
There are some areas of the US that do not allow Vent-free gas logs so Vented are the only alternative.
They can also be used in existing wood burning fireplaces by using the existing flue. It can also be used with a firebox that direct vent system.

We carry Monessen Hearth, there are spec sheets & more information at thier site. There are several brands out there but from past experience we feel that Monessen is the best.
To learn about Vent-free gas logs, check our other guides.

Vent-Free Gas Logs

The biggest advantage to Vent-free Gas Logs is all the heat stays in the room. You get up to 38,000 BTUs that will easily heat up to 1100 square feet. Ventless logs are safe to use and not dangerous, they work on the same concept as a gas kitchen stove. If you turned on all 4 burners and the oven at the same time, the kitchen stove will use more gas than the gas logs use. And you do not vent the kitchen stove.
The Vent-free Gas Logs are a great way to add beauty and charm to any room. Plus they are efficient to run.

Some New Products for the Shower

It's time to get serious about adding some new products to our webite. We added some nice shower heads from Barclay to the store but not the site yet.

It's funny we should start the blog with shower heads right now since I could use a new one myself. I tried a rainshower one but it didn't have enough pressure. Then I switched to a smaller one and it had too much pressure. Now I have a basic but plan to try one with a handheld atachement. You would think I'd have this figuired out already since YouRemodel has a lot of shower faucets and heads available. lol :) I hope we don't strip the thread on the pipe from changing it too much.

I'll try to add some pictures of the new ones later but here is a great one for a clawfoot tub.

Have a great Monday!
